Welcome to OnederLand
Where Cacao, Community, and Culture grow together
Nestled in rural Loei, Thailand, Onederland is a cacao farm and community space rooted in sustainability, learning, and meaningful exchange. A place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the cities and have an authentic local experience.
Life here is guided by the seasons: growing cacao, caring for the land, building natural systems, and sharing knowledge. Guests and volunteers join us not as tourists, but as part of the rhythm of daily rural life
Come to slow down, contribute, and experience Thailand in a grounded and honest way
Join us at Onederland to learn all about sustainable food forest farming.

Our Mission
Onederland exists to cultivate a regenerative rural ecosystem where land, people, and culture grow together. Our work moves through our 5 interconnected local platforms:
- Food – Rooted in food crops such as cacao, coffee, coconut, we support transparent, small-scale food systems from crops to consumers.
- Forest – Through food forests, mixed permaculture, composting, and biochar, we regenerate land while building long-term ecological resilience and biodiversity.
- Fabric – We revive natural fibers and plant-based dye practices, exploring cotton, eco-printing, and practical fabric traditions.
- Feel-Goods – Through craft, storytelling, and educational content, we share knowledge and inspire mindful living.
- Foundation – We create opportunities for local farmers, artisans, women, children, elderly and intergenerational collaboration to thrive within a sustainable rural economy.

Meet the Founder: Manee Suthan
Manee is an inspiring woman with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a deep commitment to her community. She treats those around her like family, creating a welcoming space for people from all over the world while working to sustain the local environment and economy.
Growing up in a family of 12 in rural Thailand, Manee learned from her mother the importance of self-sufficiency: how to cultivate the land, grow food, and live in harmony with nature. Her upbringing, marked by hardship, gave her a profound understanding of the value of both the land and the people who depend on it.
Manee’s work ethic is infectious, shaped by a unique and positive outlook on labour. However, she also carries the lessons of past struggles. When her mother placed her trust in large farming corporations, the family was left with almost nothing. Instead of letting this setback define her, Manee turned it into a lesson and one that fuels her honourable mission to this day.
Over time, this mission evolved into Onederland, a space where sustainability, community, and cultural exchange come together. Inspired by her mother’s teachings and her own experiences, Onederland is built on the principles of ethical farming, environmental stewardship, and shared prosperity. Through regenerative agriculture, tree adoptions, and community-driven initiatives, Onederland creates opportunities for people in Loei, ensuring a more secure and sustainable future for generations to come.
